Jack Mulhall was born on October 7, 1887 in Wappingers Falls, New York, USA as John Joseph Francis Mulhall. He was an actor and producer, known for Die drei Musketiere (1933), The Amazing Exploits of the Clutching Hand (1936) and Burn 'Em Up Barnes (1934). He was married to Evelyn Mulhall , Bertha Vuillot and Laura. He died on June 1, 1979 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
Once served on the board of the Screen Actors Guild. In the movie Dark Streets (1929), Jack completed the first dual role ever in talking pictures. Guest-starred in the pilot episode of TV's How to Marry a Millionaire (1957) on October 7, 1957, which happened to be his birthday. Got his first job in an iron foundry, then worked as a barker in an amusement park. Acted and danced in vaudeville and early Ziegfeld shows in New York, before joining D.W. Griffith at Biograph. Became a noted star of the silent screen, acting opposite the likes of Mary Pickford and Norma Talmadge and Constance Talmadge . At the height of his popularity he made $1,000 a week. By the time he was financially destroyed by the Wall Street Crash of 1929, he had accumulated an estimated fortune of $1 million, much of it in Californian real estate. Aside from making many television appearances, Jack Mulhall acted in 420 movies. Whenever Jack visited Passaic (NJ), he would always time a visit to the DL&W railroad station so he could wave to his brother, a train engineer.

On a scientific expedition to Siam young Billy Batson is given the ability to change himself into the super-powered Captain Marvel by the wizard Shazam, who tells him his powers will last only as long as the Golden Scorpion idol is threatened. Finding the idol, the scientists realize it could be the most powerful weapon in the world and remove the lenses that energize it, distributing them among themselves so that no one would be able to use the idol by himself. Back in the US, Billy Batson, as Captain Marvel, wages a battle against an evil, hooded figure, the Scorpion, who hopes to accumulate all five lenses, thereby gaining control of the super-powerful weapon.
